B Corp

Joining the B Corp community was an important step in Pala’s evolution. What does it mean? In short, that legally as a company Pala commit for the benefit of our employees and business operations, to have a materially positive impact on society and the environment taken as a whole. As a business the focus is on giving goodness to all of society, not just giving profits to shareholders.

If you want to read more about the wider B Corp movement our founder John Pritchard talks more about the rise in B Corps and purpose driven consumerism in this recent Forbes interview.

Becoming a B Corp was a natural progression of the direction in which Pala had always been heading. We had always been working hard in the space of social impact as well as being mindful of our environment footprint since our origins. The certification clearly supported and re-enforced the work we were doing.

It is an important way of showing how much we value our internal as well as external stakeholders. Being a B Corp, you have to take responsibility for your whole value chain. There is also immense value to us for being part of a community of leaders, and a global movement for a better world

“The B Corp movement is a network of businesses that value people and the environment as much, if not more than profit – aiming to create a global economy that uses business as a force for good.”

John Pritchard, founder, Pala
